Can you support our
learners with work
experience?
Work experience is a vital step in helping our Sixth
Form and FE College learners build confidence,
independence, and a sense of who they are. Real
workplaces offer something the classroom can’t: the
chance to try tasks, meet new people, and discover
what feels right for the future.
Short placements help learners build practical
skills, from simple routines to more complex
responsibilities. They also support personal growth.
A learner who starts out unsure can finish a placement
with a clearer idea of their strengths and aspirations.
There is a wider benefit too. By welcoming a young
person with SEND into your organisation, you show
genuine social value in action. You also help challenge
assumptions about disability by giving others in your
workplace a positive, hands on experience.
We keep things straightforward. We work with you
to agree the placement, complete risk assessments,
and tailor tasks to suit your setting. A member of
our team provides one to one support throughout, so
you are never left managing this alone.
Can you help?
If you can offer a supportive work environment, even
for a short placement, we would love to hear from
you. Your involvement can open a door that some
learners would struggle to access otherwise.
