PHYSIOTHERAPY
Physiotherapy works to improve individuals’ physical functioning and wellbeing through exercises
and interventions to maximise strength, range of movement, balance, coordination and motor
control.
Physiotherapy Groups & 1:1 sessions
Hydrotherapy - therapy-lead session based on Aquaepps Paediatric Neurological
Dysfunction, working on a learner’s strength, range of movement and tone using the
properties of water
Rebound Therapy - therapy-lead exercise sessions based on the Winstrada
Development and Award Programme using a trampoline to improve a learner’s
balance, strength, motor planning, coordination and to reduce/increase tone
Star Club - an exercise session working on core physical skills such as balance,
flexibility, fitness, strength and turn-taking skills
Physio skills - an exercise session working to improve general wellbeing and increase
physical abilities and skills to participate in games and physical challenges
Core Group - an exercise programme to improve core strength and posture
Yoga - an exercise programme to improve balance, coordination, flexibility and range
of movement in a calm environment
1:1 individual sessions - physiotherapy sessions designed for the individual’s needs
and requirements
